HR Director

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Director to join our Dealer Support team. 


Purpose/Summary of Position:

As an internal consultant and key employee resource, the HR Director provides responsive, professional HR support for our 8 automotive dealerships across central, southern and northern Ontario. 

The HR Director champions the overall employee experience and supports the flawless execution of our established HR policies and procedures. As an advocate for employee wellness, the HR Director emulates the behaviors and attributes outlined in our Leadership Profile and mirrors the Core Values of AutoIQ.

Assisting our leaders in fostering an overall culture of happy, empowered and engaged individuals is a key priority of this role.


Key Accountabilities & Objectives:

HR consulting services include but are not limited to: talent acquisition and management, employee relations, engagement, retention, leadership development and training, health & safety management, regulatory compliance, achievement management, HRIS administration, succession planning, compensation planning, and recognition programs 

Collaborates with and supports managers in all employee matters 

Oversees the timely and effective administration of HRIS, maintaining current data, records and documentation

Ensures compliance to established policies and processes, health and safety standards and current legislation

Manages leaves of absences including EI, LTD, WSIB and RTW plans

Reports on HR Analytics, makes recommendations and manages risk

Manages integration of new processes, policies and HR initiatives 

Regularly communicates escalated issues to management

Special Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management required or equivalent experience

CHRP or CHRL Designation 

Strong knowledge of employment legislation including but not limited to ESA, OHSA, OLRA

Experience in automotive dealership preferred

Experienced working as part of a small HR team with a broad focus

Strong technical aptitude in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
