Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for Airport Ford Lincoln

- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting technician role
will be prioritized
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- Strong comfort with computers, printers, and other office equipment

- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Key
Accountabilities & Objectives:

Full Cycle Deal Administration
·
Assist in month end close
including group reporting requirements (P&L, Balance Sheet reporting
packages, schedule clean-up)
·
Balance sheet reconciliations
for various departments as required and assigned
·
Assist fellow department team
members when required and as business needs arise
·
Actively communicates and
collaborates with stakeholders including Managers, sales staff and accounting
team to ensure timely and accurate results
·
Completes administrative
functions and is cross-trained in various admin/accounting functions
·
Provide feedback to management
and maintain open communication on concerns, suggestions, requirements etc.
·
Continuous skills improvement
through training and education
·
Ongoing
collaboration with fellow team members and improving efficiencies whenever
possible.
Special Requirements:
- Post Secondary Education in Accounting
- CPA Certification or working towards CPA Certification will be
considered an asset
- Previous accounting experience in a dealership accounting
environment preferred
- Payroll experience will also be considered an asset
